ASL for Activists
Join JVP Baltimore for a FREE and informal ASL class! This one-off class will equip students with the necessary signs to start conversing with Deaf and Hard of Hearing folks, have basic conversations with one another across rooms and in loud bars, and be a useful tool for conversing in op sec situations.
We'll focus on basic vocabulary, activist and LGBTQ vocabulary, ASL grammar, handshapes, and facial expressions, as well as touch on some aspects of Deaf culture.
